If you already have a VTN account, please go to Section B   (Compatible with MTN, GLO and Zain / Bharti Airtel Nigeria and Etisalat)

     

To register on VTN for the first time type:  www.virtualterminalnetwork.com into your web browser e.g. Internet Explorer or Firefox Mozilla or Opera etc.

Click Register. Click Personal Account if you want a personal account or Merchant Account if you want to sell products or services with your account. Enter a few inormation about you or your business when asked then click Submit.

 

 

To login to your account online at anytime, visit www.virtualterminalnetwork.com and click Login. Enter the username, password and PIN you chose when signing up.
Click Submit.

To register quickly for personal account using your GSM Phone phone,
text your first name, last name and email to this number:
08168045412 (Within Nigeria) and +2348168045412 (outside Nigeria)

as follows:
ACCT FirstName LastName EmailAddress

Example: ACCT John Doe johndoe@yahoo.com
Leave a single space between each word. The email address should be correct without any spaces

What to expect once you have logged in:
To change your password or PIN number or Security Questions:
Click Change Password. Type in your old password, type in your new password, re-enter the new password and click Change Password.
Do the same for PIN Number and/or Security Questions if you so wish.
To change your profile information e.g. address, contact details etc:
Click Edit Profile
Change your profile details as you want and click save.
To upload your photo, first make sure you have your photo saved on the computer you are using. This step is necessary if you want to withdraw cash on VTN later on.
Click Upload your Photo and click Browse. From the drop down menu of the dialog box that appears, select the location you saved your file e.g. Desktop or My pictures. Select the file containing your photo, click OK then click Submit.
To send money online to another VTN account, click Send Money or if you are a merchant account holder, click Send Funds To An Account. Enter the email of the receiver and the amount and include remarks. Click Submit Information
Follow the same procedure even if the recipient is not a registered user yet. All you need are: correct email address and GSM phone number of the recipient.
To pay someone online e.g. to pay a VTN merchant for his products and/or services, click on the VTN payment button. In the fields that appear, fill in your VTN login email, your PIN number, the amount you want to pay the merchant and remarks explaining what the payment is meant for. Include other relevant information in the remarks field, and click Submit Information.
To add funds to your VTN account using VTN’s reload/scratch card, purchase your VTN recharge/scratch card from Bank, Agent or Retailer. Click Add Funds using Scratch Card, enter your scratch card number in the space shown and click the Submit Query button. This step is easier than loading GSM recharge cards.
To add fund to your VTN account through Agents and/or Banks, visit any participating Bank or Agent near you. Pay the Bank or Agent the amount you want in your VTN account , collect a receipt for the deposit and keep for your record.
If the Bank agent's internet connection is down or not available for any reason, simply deposit the fund to be added to your VTN account to VTN's Bank account at the designated Bank Agent near you. collect a receipt for the deposit and then come and click Add Funds via An Agent in your VTN account and notify us of the deposit.
We will credit your account within minutes once confirmed.
To receive payments from cardholders i.e. other VTN account holders, into your merchant account (if you are a merchant account holder and the buyer is in your shop), logon and click Receive Payments The buyer will enter the amount to pay you and their secure pin. The money moves to your VTN merchant account immediately. You should now finalize the transaction. Alternatively buyer can move money using their GSM phone in your presence. Both parties will receive a confirmation instantly. See Mobile section for details.
To check your VTN account balance online, click View All Transactions.
To add a bank account to your VTN account, Click on Bank account and enter your bank details securely. This is necessary inorder to withdraw to your Bank account.
To withdraw money from your VTN account, click Withdraw funds. You can withdraw through one of the two methods:
Cash Withdrawal  (To be picked up at any participating Bank)
Cheque Withdrawal: We will mail a check to your address on file
Transfer to Bank account: We will credit your Bank account within 48hrs
Enter the amount you want to withdraw, select either cash, transfer to bank account or  cheque withdrawal method, type in your remarks and click Submit Information. Confirm information in the next page and write down the VTCN Reference Number that shows in the acknowledgement that follows when you finally click submit.
Take this VTCN Reference number to the nearest participating bank or VTN agent near you. You also need to have your photo uploaded in your VTN account profile to collect your withdrawal physically.
To see all the money you loaded till date, click View account loading History
To report any dispute, click Raise Disputes
To see the outcome of your raised dispute, click View Dispute Outcome
To track all the money you have received till date click View Payments Received
To check all the money you have transferred till date, click View Payments Sent
To view all transactions you have carried out on VTN, click View All Transactions
To check withdrawals that are not yet cleared, click View Pending Withdrawals
To view disputes lodged against you as a merchant, click View Dispute Messages
To allow another person(s) (designated employee) to operate your merchant account click Add User
To view the number of users added to your merchant account click View Users List
NOTE: To add additional users/operators to your merchant account, you need to fill a form and agree to terms of use. Take absolute care when specifying additional users.
One good thing is the fact that these “View” links (i.e. from View account loading history to View users List) have some features in common in their functionalities. One of them is that you can search for a specific previous transaction by just typing the transaction ref number into the Search for field and clicking Submit Query . If you click the subit button without specifyinga search criterial, the system will return all record ordered by date of transaction. .
You can also import your record in form of spreadsheet by clicking on the MS Excel icon, when operating in any of these functions.
If you are a merchant account holder and you need to integrate VTN payments into your backend database or simply put, if you want to process payments on your website, you must supply a CallBack URL. VTN will call and pass transaction results to CallBack URLs supplied. These results are passed in XML format. Once VTN processes a transaction, it is posted into the VTN account of the merchant and results are sent to its CallBack URL. If you need help, please contact us. We are happy to help you integrate VTN to your web site.
To add a CallBack URL, simply click on Add CallBack URL in your merchant account and type your website CallBack URL into the simple panel that appears. An example of a CallBack URL is http://www.domai.com/some-url.asp In most cases you will need the help of a technical person to do this. We are also available 24/7 to assist you.
